Oteuel : Ralph de Ottevile held of Richard Morin of Newnham Morin in Oxfordshire. This is the one solitary occasion on which I have met with the name. There are, indeed, two De Otteles entered in the Testa de Nevill: Adam, who held in capite, and Walter, a tenant of Earl Ferrers: but in both these instances Ottele stands for Otley. Robson gives the arms of the Ottewells (of Ireland) as Argent, three Cornish choughs Sable.
