Mangisere : Leland's version is Mangysir. Anselme mentions a Henry de Montgisart, whose daughter Eschive became the wife of Renaud III., the last of the house of "Soissons d'Outremer." (Histoire Genealogique ii. 523). Here, again, I have to record a case of utter failure. No name at all resembling it in England have I been able to meet with.
