Bridgewater
Monument was built as a commemorative monument to Francis
Egerton, 3rd Duke of Bridgewater. The tower was designed by Sir
Jeffry Wyatville in 1832 and constructed by Philip Nowell of
Pimlico. The tower is a 108-foot tall fluted Greek Doric column
