This is another evident interpolation. Gargrave is the central parish of the district of Craven, in Yorkshire; it is entered in Domesday as "Gheregrave, Terra Rogerii Pictavensis." It was afterwards added to the two fees of Percy and Romilly; and in 8 Ed. I. belonged to Geoffrey de Nevill, in right of his wife Margaret.
