The Medieval Mosaic has been on exhibition at Science Alive in Christchurch from July 1st. to 22nd October 2005. This is the first time the mosaic has been on exhibition outside of Geraldine, but we hope that it will go on exhibition at other centres in the future. The mosaic is easily moved and transported but does require a fairly large display area. If you have an interest in seeing the mosaic exhibited in your own town or district, please do not hesitate to contact us.

In its current location Michael gives an in-depth tour of the mosaic, explaining the method of construction, history of the original tapestry, the 'Finale Section', the story as told by the mosaic and the encoded puzzles. A number of Michael's puzzle creations are also on permanent display and sale at the Giant Jersey in Geraldine.

This was the first time the Mosaic was displayed to the public end-to-end. Taking up over 42 metres of wall space this was the first exhibition to be held in the newly constructed gallery at the Science Alive venue. To complement the display a number of Michael's puzzles were constructed for the public to play with, as well as computer displays of the CD-Rom of the mosaic and some of the puzzles. A teachers resource kit was made available and other programs relating to the medieval era were run in conjunction with the display.
