Baldred of Kent

Baldred was the last king of Kent, England (807–825). Baldred succeded Eadwald who only ruled for a very short period.

Kent was never an independent nation during the rule of Baldred as Kent was ruled directly by the king of Mercia, Coenwulf.

In 825 Essex and Kent and was usurped by Wessex (the formation of England) and Baldred, a pro-Mercian, was expelled by Egbert of Wessex
